So I'm planning on doing another import in a few days. I'm also considering changing forum software. I'm not a huge fan of the bridge between Joomla and SMF, as it requires multiple logins and generally is a pain. Right now PHPBB3 is the most obvious choice, but I figured I'd open it up to you guys to see what the consensus is. SMF as it is, or swap over to PHPBB? |

I am integrating proper links to GOG.com's catalog. Basically this means that if they're selling it, it shouldn't be available on the site for download. If you come across anything that's improperly listed, drop me a note and I'll update the listing. For those who are curious why this is the new ideal, I believe it's important to support businesses who are providing access and support to these older games. In the past there was no outlet and no way to get ahold of these classics, but with the appearance of GOG.com, and the classic back catalogs on Steam, suddenly companies are realizing that these classics should be remembered and supported. I want to make sure that we support this ideal. So as I've said before, if it's buyable, we won't host the files. If it's been stricken from the minds of men, well, then we'll do what we can to make sure it's not lost forever. |

Doing another file import tomorrow. Should fix a lot more of the missing files. Gonna do some general maintenance as well and try to get the search stuff working a bit better. I have to wait for the backups to finish, so it'll be 24+ hours until I can get the changes in. |
